An Northern QLD hospital requires a Registered Nurse/RN in Accident & Emergency from: 25.05.2026 to 19.07.2026 01.06.2026 – 19.07.2026 08.06.2026 – 19.07.2026 About our Emergency Department The Mackay Base Hospital Emergency Department (ED) is a Level 4 clinical service capability, with both adult and paediatric clients presenting for care and treatment. Our ED includes the following: 2 Resuscitation/Trauma bays, 3 High Dependency (HDU) bays, 12 acute bed spaces, 5 Paediatric bays, 12 Fast track, 16 short stay beds, 2 Mental health and 1 isolation HDU bay and see on average over 150 patients per day. Mandatory Experience • Minimum 3 years Emergency Department experience Desirable Experience • Knowledge of ieMR and proficiency in using this system • Previous experience working in Australia, QLD Health and/or Mackay HHS Mandatory Competencies • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certificate • Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate • Manual and patient handling • Infection control including hand hygiene • Mandatory reporting by of reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglect • Occupational Violence Prevention Training incorporating de-escalation skills, situational awareness, and maintaining personal safety) • Medications management including QPHS (Drugs and Poisons) Regulations November 2012 Additionally, the candidate must agree to undertake any of the following as required by our HHS: • Integrated electronic medical record training • Online induction training • Any other training as requested Please complete the form below and attach your CV.
