As we continue to grow our aged care services, we are seeking an experienced and values-driven Aged Care Quality Coach to help strengthen our quality, safeguarding, and compliance systems across the organisation. About the Role The Aged Care Quality Coach supports VIVA Mutual’s aged care governance, compliance, safeguarding, and continuous improvement frameworks, ensuring alignment with the Aged Care Quality Standards and broader organisational governance requirements. Working collaboratively across operational, clinical, and quality teams, this role will support: Internal auditing and quality assurance activities Aged care audit readiness and accreditation preparation Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) oversight and safeguarding processes Continuous improvement initiatives Incident trend analysis and governance reporting Quality coaching and frontline capability building Alignment of systems across Aged Care and NDIS service streams This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating compliance and governance requirements into practical operational systems that genuinely improve service delivery. Key Responsibilities Quality & Compliance Support aged care audit readiness and external assessment preparation Conduct internal audits, file reviews, and service observations Monitor compliance against the Aged Care Quality Standards Assist with development and implementation of quality assurance systems Support corrective action planning and continuous improvement activities Maintain compliance dashboards, KPIs, and audit schedules Safeguarding & SIRS Support oversight of the Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) Assist with incident management, investigations, escalation, and reporting Monitor incident trends and contribute to risk reduction strategies Promote safeguarding practices that improve client safety outcomes Governance & Reporting Prepare and analyse quality and compliance reporting data Support Clinical Governance reporting processes Assist with risk identification, trend analysis, and governance frameworks Operational Quality Coaching Coach and support frontline teams in applying quality and safeguarding practices Work collaboratively with Service Coaches and operational leaders Promote accountability, reflective practice, and continuous learning across teams Integrated Quality Systems Work alongside the NDIS Quality Coach to align shared governance systems Support harmonisation of policies, procedures, and operational controls across service streams About You You are collaborative, organised, and solutions-focused, with a strong understanding of quality and safeguarding frameworks within aged care, disability, health, or community services. Essential Experience & Skills Experience in quality, compliance, governance, safeguarding, auditing, or continuous improvement Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and SIRS obligations Experience conducting audits, reviews, investigations, or quality assurance activities Ability to interpret standards and apply them operationally Strong written communication and reporting capability High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Confidence coaching and supporting teams in practice improvement Desirable Understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards Experience supporting accreditation or external audits Qualifications in quality, healthcare, aged care, community services, or related fields Experience contributing to governance reporting or risk management frameworks Mandatory Requirements Current National Police Clearance Current Driver’s Licence NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) Working With Children Check (where applicable) Evidence of required vaccinations in line with organisational policy Why Join VIVA Mutual?
