Build a career you can be proud of. About the Role We're looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead and develop our Service Centre and sub-dealer network across both SA and NT regions. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing all day to day maintenance and repair operations at our Burton Workshop in South Australia and managing relationships with service providers across the SA and NT, ensuring safety, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. As the Service Manager, you will directly oversee the Burton Workshop team and coordinate with external service providers to ensure they meet our standards. You'll drive operational performance, financial discipline, and a strong culture of safety and teamwork across the business. Key Responsibilities · Oversee day-to-day management of the Burton Workshop, ensuring compliance with warranty policies, OEM standards, and quality service delivery. · Drive financial performance and profitability across service operations, managing budgets, cost control, and resource planning. · Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and key customers, providing proactive commercial and operational support. · Ensure technical training, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning are delivered to the Burton Workshop team. · Lead continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance processes, quality control, and service delivery. About You You're a results-driven leader with a strong technical foundation and proven ability to influence and manage teams and external partners. Your commercial acumen, safety focus, and communication skills drive you to deliver outstanding results. Ideally, you'll bring: · A Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualification (essential), supported by leadership experience within a Dealership or heavy vehicle workshop environment. · Minimum 5 years' experience managing workshop operations. · Demonstrated experience in managing P&L budgets and financial performance. · Strong technical knowledge of trucks, trailers, and maintenance standards. Experience managing external service providers or vendor relationships (advantageous). · Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. · Experience with Dealer-pro software an advantage. · A genuine commitment to safety, people development, and high-quality service outcomes.
