They are now seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Manager to join their team in Cardwell in QLD. The Role The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, leading the team, and ensuring an outstanding dining experience for their guests. This is a full-time role ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and a background in hospitality management, with an annual salary of $80,000 plus superannuation. Responsibilities Plan menus in coordination with cook and other staff. Purchase goods required for cooking and determine the price for them according to budget. Book appointments for job interview and select, train and orient new hire employees. Supervise new and current waiting and kitchen staff. Plan roaster on weekly basis to manage human resources in shifts to deliver services on time. Perform cash handling and cash register functions in an accurate manner to ensure that all expenses are accounted for with proper receipts and inventory logs. Responsible for checking stock levels, maintaining detailed daily or weekly inventory reports and placing orders when necessary. Ensure to maintain a clean, organized and prepared store environment, adhering to health, food safety and sanitation guidelines. Obtain customer feedback regarding meals and services to ensure their satisfaction. Print stock sheets, daily sheet, temperature sheet etc. Greet customers and organise table reservations and offer them menu and assist the staff in taking orders. Plan and organise functions according to client’s needs and budget. Create and execute marketing strategy to accomplish restaurant operational objectives. Schedule timely meetings to discuss business development opportunities and any issues to maximize profitability by proper marketing, monitoring of portion control and recommending the right pricing. Prepare report for the management regarding staff performance, food control and sales Requirements At least an Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality management At least 3 years of proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in a supervisory hospitality role Must have at least 3 years of menu planning experience including cost control and planning menu to budget Must have at least 3 years of people management and hospitality team leading experience At least 3 years’ experience ensuring compliance with HACCP, liquor licensing, and WHS regulations. At least 3 years’ experience in financial management, sales analysis, and profit optimisation At least 3 years’ of experience managing staff rosters, service workflows, and labour allocation in a busy dine in food service environment Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a busy restaurant environment Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of food safety, WHS, and hospitality compliance requirements At least two recent work references
