About the Opportunity DIAB Engineering is seeking an experienced and motivated Site Coordinator / Superintendent to join our team in a unique hybrid role combining both site-based project leadership and office-based operational support. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys being in the field, working alongside crews, building client relationships, and driving business growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating project delivery, supporting tender submissions, developing new opportunities, and ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably. We are looking for someone who is flexible, collaborative, and capable of adapting to changing operational requirements. This role will involve a combination of site supervision, client engagement, project planning, estimating, and business development activities. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and coordination of site-based construction, maintenance, shutdown, and structural integrity projects. Maintain a strong visible presence in the field and actively support frontline personnel. Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with client and legislative requirements. Act as a statutory supervisor under Section 26 of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations. Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives. Develop, compile, and submit tender documentation, estimates, and pricing submissions. Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of the business. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control. Support operational management with workforce planning and resource allocation. Prepare project reports, progress updates, and commercial documentation. Mentor supervisors and site personnel to promote a high-performance culture. About You The successful applicant will be a practical, solutions-focused leader who enjoys working with people and taking ownership of outcomes. You will possess: Demonstrated experience in mining, maintenance, construction, shutdowns, or structural integrity projects. Previous experience in a Superintendent, Site Coordinator, Supervisor, Project Manager, or similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of tender preparation, estimating, and project pricing. Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills. A collaborative leadership style and the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organisation. A strong commitment to safety and workforce engagement. The ability to work autonomously while remaining a supportive team player. Commercial awareness and a focus on delivering value to clients. Flexibility to travel and work between Perth and various project sites as required. Essential Requirements Trade qualification or relevant industry experience. Current Australian Driver’s Licence. Section 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification and ability to fulfil statutory obligations. Strong understanding of mining and construction safety systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project administration systems. Ability to pass pre-employment medical and site inductions. Why Join DIAB?
