A new opportunity exists for an experienced mechanic / service technician to maintain regular servicing and attend scheduled servicing and break downs in the field on our overall fleet of vehicles including trucks, trailers and specialised heavy-duty trailers. Working Monday to Friday (7:00am - 5:00pm), you'll play a critical role in supporting the continued growth and success of our Canning Vale branch. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing our fleet to the highest standards, both in the workshop and occasionally at client sites. Your key responsibilities will include: Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on trucks, trailers and heavy-duty trailers. Manage on-hire and off-hire inspections, ensuring all equipment meets company standards Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across fleet assets Attend breakdowns and provide fast, professional field support Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance procedures Perform and assist with: - Brake servicing and repairs - Airbag and suspension maintenance - Wheel bearings and axle work - Tyre inspections and alignment - Electrical and lighting checks - General fabrication and minor repairs Assist with basic truck and tilt tray maintenance as required Maintain accurate service records and report any major defects Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance Follow all safety procedures with a strong ZERO harm mindset You'll be a qualified tradesperson who is reliable, proactive and committed to delivering high-quality work.
