Cinema Employee – Level 2 Location: Event Cinemas Springfield Employment Type: Casual About the RoleWe’re looking for enthusiastic and customer‑focused Cinema Employees (Level 2) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with previous cinema experience or relevant experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service, who takes pride in delivering great service in a fast‑paced entertainment environment. As a Level 2 team member, you’ll support the day‑to‑day operations of our cinema entertainment complex, ensuring every guest enjoys a welcoming, seamless and memorable experience. What You’ll Be Doing Customer Experience and Cinema OperationsDeliver consistently high standards of customer service, taking a proactive and friendly approach with all patrons.Address minor customer feedback and concerns within your scope, escalating where required.Actively participate in cinema campaigns, promotions and events.Complete opening, closing and shift changeover procedures accurately.Assist with queue management, crowd control and allocated seating management.Maintain lost property records and demonstrate strong security awareness.Ensure public and back‑of‑house areas are clean, safe and well‑presented.Identify, action (where trained) and/or report maintenance or equipment issues.Follow workplace health, safety and emergency procedures at all times.Support a collaborative team environment by assisting fellow employees when needed. Retail and Food ServiceOperate POS registers and ticketing systems accurately.Prepare and serve food and beverages to a high quality and presentation standard.Handle cash responsibly, balancing your own till and conducting self‑audits.Maintain stock levels and visual presentation in line with planograms.Assist with stock handling and preparation for stocktake.Apply effective suggestive selling and upselling techniques.Hold or be willing to obtain RSA certification where required. Cinema Attendant DutiesConduct ticket checks and regular auditorium inspections.Monitor in‑cinema presentation, comfort and ambiance.Support minor maintenance and presentation of games machines and public areas. Availability and Transport RequirementsBe available to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, public holidays and peak trading periods.Be flexible to work across a range of shifts and cinema departments as required.Have reliable transport and the ability to get to and from work, including late‑night finishes when public transport may be limited. What We’re Looking ForPrevious cinema, retail, hospitality or customer service experience.Strong communication skills and a genuine customer‑first mindset.Confidence with cash handling and register operation.Competency in basic maths and English.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.A high standard of personal presentation and professionalism.A strong commitment to workplace health, safety and hygiene.
