About the role: Due to an increased growth and demand in the Townsville Correctional Centres (Men’s Women’s). The position will initially commence as Casual employment for a 12-month term with a possible 24-month extension. Prearranged scheduling flexibility can be possible. Training will occur in a face-to-face classroom environment. We are seeking qualified and experience trainers to deliver and assess the following stand-alone unit of competencies: TLIL2008 - Complete Routine Administrative Tasks TLID0020 - Shift materials safely using manual handling methods TLIF0009 - Ensure the safety of transport activities (chain of responsibility) SIRXIND002- Organise and maintain the store environment SIRXSLS001- Sell to the retail customer The ability to deliver high quality, compliant and engaging sessions is vital, while ensuring appropriate assessment systems are in place that allow each student to attain the relevant units of competency. About you: Driven by a passion for learning and development, you help others build tangible industry skills and foster a culture of empowerment through second chances. You are a clear communicator with experience in working or interacting with people from disadvantaged backgrounds with mixed levels of education and learning. Can balance flexibility with compliance, adapting to a prison unique environment without compromising training integrity or workplace safety protocols. About your qualifications, and experience: Australian citizenship or permission to work in Australia Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE40122 (or equivalent) Including the units being delivered (or willing to obtain them, or equivalent industry experience and currency) Industry workplace experience in alignment with the delivered courses Demonstrated experience delivering accredited vocational training Ability to engage all learner types and levels Ability to work unsupervised and good time management skills Ability to captivate, retain, and provide engaging training Moderate computer literacy including MS Office suite Current Driving Licence Criminal History Clearance
