About the Role As a Horticulturist, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing parks, gardens and open spaces across our community. You’ll take the lead on-site, delivering high-quality horticultural outcomes while supporting and guiding others. What you’ll be doing: Leading and undertaking horticultural maintenance across parks, gardens and reserves Supervising and guiding team members in the field Providing expert horticultural advice to the community Operating and maintaining a range of plant, tools and machinery Managing worksites safely, including traffic management and compliance Responding to customer requests and ensuring timely outcomes Supporting safe work practices and maintaining high standards across all activities Contributing to a clean, safe and welcoming environment for the community You’ll play a key role in ensuring our open spaces are well presented, safe and enjoyable, helping create places that community truly values. About You You’re motivated, takes initiative and lead from the front, confidently managing worksites and supporting others while contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture and building strong relationships across a diverse community. With a proactive, solutions-focused approach, you bring a growth mindset, are eager to develop into leadership roles, and are comfortable adapting to new technologies, ideas and ways of working with curiosity, flexibility and openness. You’ll bring: AQF Certificate III or higher in Horticulture. C Class Driver’s licence. MR licence. Minimum 3 years’ experience in horticulture.
