Construction Administrator / Office Administrator – Part-Time (24 hrs/week) $36–$43 per hour | Flexible hours | Construction industry experience essential We are a growing construction business seeking an experienced Construction Administrator / Office Administrator to support our day-to-day operations across payroll, accounts, and project administration. This role is best suited to someone who already understands how a construction office runs—particularly job costing, subcontractor payments, progress claims, and construction accounting workflows —and is confident working independently in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time position (approx. 24 hours per week) with flexible working hours , offering $36–$45 per hour depending on experience . Key Responsibilities End-to-end weekly payroll processing , including site timesheets and subcontractor payments Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable , including supplier invoices and client progress claims Support job costing and project cost tracking across multiple construction jobs Prepare and process progress claims, variations, and invoicing Maintain accurate project, customer, and supplier accounts in Xero Assist with reconciliations and month-end reporting support Ensure compliance with internal processes, contracts, and financial procedures Maintain organised office systems and support general administration across the business About You (Must-Haves) Previous experience in a construction administration or construction accounts role (essential) Strong understanding of construction workflows including job costing, subcontractors, progress claims, and variations Confident handling payroll, AP, and AR in a construction environment High attention to detail with strong ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Excel Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with site teams, suppliers, and clients (IELTS score above 8 required.)
