We are currently partnering with a well-established mining services provider in Mackay to recruit 4 x Heavy Diesel Fitters to join their growing workshop team in Paget. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent position working on major mining equipment rebuild programs, with a strong pipeline of work and excellent earning potential. About the Role Based in a modern, well-equipped workshop in Paget, you will play a key role in the rebuild, overhaul and maintenance of ultra-class mining equipment, with a strong focus on Liebherr T282 haul trucks and associated components. Key Responsibilities Complete major rebuilds, overhauls and repairs on mining equipment Strip, assess and rebuild heavy mobile plant components Perform fault finding, diagnostics and repair work Work on engines, hydraulics, drivetrains and ancillary systems Interpret OEM manuals, technical drawings and specifications Maintain a high standard of workmanship and safety compliance Contribute to a productive and collaborative workshop environment About You: Hold an Australian recognised Trade Qualification as a Diesel Fitter Experience working on heavy mining equipment Exposure to OEM machinery such as Liebherr, Komatsu, Hitachi, Caterpillar or similar Strong rebuild and component overhaul experience Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment Commitment to workplace safety and quality outcomes What's on Offer Permanent full-time position 7/7 roster – Day Shift Only 12-hour shifts Mackay workshop location – be home every night Approximate 2-year project pipeline providing long-term stability Competitive remuneration package Supportive leadership team and strong safety culture Opportunity to work on major mining equipment rebuild projects If you're looking for a long-term workshop role with consistent hours and the opportunity to work on large-scale mining equipment, we'd love to hear from you.
