About the Role Working within our busy workshop environment, you will be responsible for fabrication, repairs, maintenance, and welding activities across a range of heavy equipment and structural projects while maintaining high safety and quality standards. This role will see you working across both the fabrication and repair areas of the workshop, with a strong focus on repairs including buckets, blades, trays, and other heavy equipment components. This is a casual position with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role after the probationary period for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Carry out high-quality Boilermaking, fabrication, welding, and repair work within a workshop environment Perform repairs and rebuilds on heavy equipment components including buckets, blades, trays, and associated structures Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with strong attention to detail and workmanship Maintain compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production targets and deadlines Follow company quality assurance processes and maintain high welding standards, with all welds subject to MPI or UT testing Contribute positively to a team-focused and safety-driven workshop culture Skills & Experience Trade Qualification – Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade Previous workshop fabrication and welding experience Strong welding and metal fabrication skills Experience working on heavy equipment repairs highly regarded ISO 9606-1 welding certification highly regarded Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Forklift and overhead crane tickets desirable Strong problem-solving skills and initiative Reliable, hardworking, and committed to safe work practices Ability to work independently and within a team environment Why Join Us?
