Antonio Catholic School is seeking a Qualified Education Support Officer OSHC Educator who can work in consultation with the OSHC Director and staff at both OSHC and Vac Care programs on a permanent basis for up to 21.5 hours per week 48 weeks of the year plus other times where needed. The school is also looking for general casual staff. Your responsibilities In the absence of the Director (or Principal), be responsible for the day-to-day management of the OSHC/Vacation Care service and work in accordance with relevant legislation Responsible, in consultation with the Director (or delegate), for the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate program for individual children in care consistent with the National Quality Standards. Work in accordance with relevant legislation including Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011 SI 653), the Education and Care Services National Law Act, the SA Education and Early Childhood Services (Registration and Standards) Act 2011. Apply skills, knowledge and experience, commensurate with qualification and role requirements, to ensure work is undertaken in accordance with OSHC policies and procedures to support the service in attaining and maintaining compliance with National Quality Framework and Standards. Ensure that records are maintained accurately for each child in the employee’s care, develop, implement and evaluate daily care routines and meet the additional needs of children with complex health support needs, including personal hygiene and feeding. Liaise with families and provide verbal and written information to same as delegated by the OSHC Director (or delegate). Supervise and engage positively with students to support positive learning and wellbeing outcomes. Assist with food preparation for afternoon tea on rostered days. Be a team leader for a number of OSHC and Vac Care shifts. Hold a current Working with Children Check before commencing employment. Hold National Child Safety Training certificate before commencing employment. About you We are seeking an energetic and resourceful staff member who Supports and contributes to the ethos of our Catholic community Holds an approved ACECQA qualification and/or demonstrated experience in a similar or comparative role (appropriate diploma or 50% through appropriate degree course. Holds a Diploma or (50% through appropriate degree course) or higher ACECQA qualification for the permanent qualified position. Demonstrates a minimum of 2 years experience in OSHC or childcare for permanent position. Possesses excellent skills to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues Has the right to work in Australia.
