Full job description POGU Pty Ltd trading as Criniti’s Parramatta is looking for an experienced and motivated Chef to join our busy restaurant team located at 328 Church Street, Parramatta NSW 2150. About the Role You will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of Italian and contemporary Australian dishes while ensuring consistency, quality and efficiency during service. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment serving local customers, families, tourists and visitors in the Parramatta dining precinct. Key Responsibilities Plan menus and assist in estimating food and labour costs Order food supplies and assist with stock control Prepare and cook a range of restaurant menu items in line with Criniti’s standards Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Ensure consistency in taste, portioning and food presentation Discuss food preparation issues with managers, kitchen staff and waiting staff Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise kitchen staff on cooking procedures Explain and enforce food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness regulations Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment Assist in selecting, training and supervising kitchen staff where required Assist with food storage, stock rotation and preservation of food items Requirements Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar commercial kitchen environment. Minimum Diploma of Hospitality Management or equivalent qualifications are required. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements Strong teamwork, communication and time-management skills Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays AUD $80,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation
