Fox Metal Roofing is seeking an experienced Residential Roofing Estimator to join our structured and collaborative team due to continued growth and expansion. This role is critical to protecting margin, ensuring scope clarity and setting our residential projects up for success. Working closely with our Residential Production team, you’ll operate in a supportive environment where estimating and delivery function as one team with clear communication, shared accountability and smooth handovers that minimise variation risk and consistently deliver quality outcomes for our builders and homeowners. About the Role Estimating & Quoting (Core Function) Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for residential roofing and cladding projects Complete detailed take-offs from plans and specifications (roofing, flashings, gutters, downpipes, accessories) Interpret plans, elevations, specifications, and site details Price materials, labour, plant, and subcontractor costs Issue structured quote packages with clear inclusions and exclusions Manage revisions and document assumptions Protect margin integrity Production Support & Team Collaboration Work closely with Residential Production to ensure estimates are realistic and executable Identify and communicate scope gaps, site constraints, or unusual conditions early Provide structured documentation that supports efficient job handover Participate in internal estimate reviews and planning discussions Assist production with clarification of scope post-award Can carry out site duties in support of the Residential Production Management Team At Fox Metal Roofing estimating isn’t isolated, it’s part of a coordinated team effort, estimating and production operate as one team!
