We are a high-volume commercial laundry and cleanroom garments facility, located in Warragul, Victoria. We employ approximately 85 staff and provide garment and linen hire and laundering services to major manufacturing & accommodation facilities across the Greater Melbourne & Gippsland regions. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on and confident candidate to take the next step into our industrial laundry or cleanroom facility. You will work in our state-of-the-art facility reporting to the Site Operations Leader. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, collaborative and able to work effectively unsupervised. They will liaise with other staff members as part of a high performing Team to ensure all returned linen and garments are received and washed to plan using some of the most modern equipment the laundry industry has to offer. Why You Should Join Us: Outstanding market reputation Safe working conditions Inclusive Company Culture Requirements of Role: The operator role is responsible for the delivery of the daily processing of soiled garments and linen, with requirements including: The ability to undertake physical/manual labour in a relatively fast paced environment Able to work collaboratively to support the efficient flow of production Able to work towards and achieve daily targets as part of a team Able to utilise site systems in Sorting/Checking/Processing of Laundry textiles Previous experience in laundry services desirable but not essential, all required training will be provided Previous industrial sewing experience favourable Other Requirements: Successful candidates will demonstrate the following: Fundamental computer literacy A strong work ethic Punctual and professional Collaborative and solutions focused outlook Able to work flexible hours as required between 6am-6pm (early starts, additional hours when required) Excellent presentation and communication skills Keen attention to detail Commitment to working safely at all times Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Able to meet fitness requirements of daily physical work Able to multi-task Able to work in different areas as required willing to undertake pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test.
