About the role We are looking for a passionate nurse who wants to be part of a vibrant and flexible team, delivering high quality aged care services within a small homelike environment. New graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Wirraminna care is a modern 32 room facility in Williamstown. All resident rooms have ensuites and courtyards, we have a fulltime activities program, onsite physio, GP and allied health services. The Registered Nurse works with Enrolled nurses and Personal Care workers to meet all client nursing needs. Registered nurses at Wirraminna are also encouraged to develop and create portfolios of areas they are passionate about that enhance the Wirraminna environment. The Registered Nurse reports directly to the Fulltime Clinical Nurse. Wirraminna Care is a supportive work environment with many staff who have worked here for 5-10 years. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly residents in our aged care facility located in Williamstown, South Australia. This is a casual position, offering flexibility to work shifts that suit your lifestyle, there is a view to permanency if preferred. All shifts available. What you'll be doing Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for elderly residents Administering medications and monitoring residents' health conditions Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records Providing emotional support and comfort to residents and their families Promoting a safe and comfortable living environment Adhering to all relevant healthcare regulations and Wirraminna Care's policies and procedures What we're looking for Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Proficient clinical skills and knowledge of aged care nursing practices Comprehensive aged care nursing training will be provided for successful candidates Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care Ability to work collaboratively within a team Proficient in using electronic documentation systems (LeeCare) What we offer At Wirraminna Care, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment for our employees.
