You will provide efficient administrative support related to both paper-based and electronic confidential medical records within an acute hospital environment. Atherton Hospital is a 56-bed rural hospital providing general health care services at level 3-4 in the Clinical Services Capability Framework. Inpatient hospital services are well integrated with the primary health services provided by the Community Health Services, Community Mental Health, the rural clinics on the Atherton Tablelands, and Allied health services. Atherton Oncology Day Unit (AODU) is a level 4 in the Clinical Services Capability Framework. About your opportunity: In this position you will… Maintain a high standard of customer service by responding to general reception enquiries for the department by answering all incoming telephone calls, collect and receipt incoming cash and electronic funds transfer (EFT) payments, and ensuring accurate transfer of messages and information to support patients and staff. Verify prepped batches and scan patient documentation into Kofax for ieMR upload (integrated electronic medical record), with a high level of attention to detail to ensure a quality patient record. Assist in the maintenance of all aspects of medical record systems including accurate patient information on HBCIS (hospital based corporate information system), and the culling, transportation and destruction of medical records as directed by the Administration Manager.
