East Coast Cranes is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Fitter to join our team based in Ormeau on the Gold Coast. This is a hands-on role working across a modern fleet of trucks and trailers, supporting our crane and transport operations. About the Role You will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy vehicles to ensure our fleet remains safe, compliant, and operational. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 4:00pm Key Responsibilities Servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy vehicles (trucks & trailers) Fault finding and diagnostics (electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical) Brake, suspension, and drivetrain repairs Pre-starts, inspections, and preventative maintenance Attending breakdowns when required Maintaining accurate service records and documentation Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures About You Trade qualified Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Experience working on trucks and trailers (essential) Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to safety and quality workmanship HR licence essential Supply own tools What We Offer Competitive hourly rate overtime available Stable, long-term position Consistent hours with early start/early finish Well-maintained fleet and workshop Supportive team environment
