APS6 Clinician 24-month contract Townsville or Cairns-based Must be an Australian Citizen About the Role Our Federal Government client is seeking and APS6 Clinician - This role combines clinical intake and assessment with project coordination responsibilities to support the delivery of a structured relationship education program being delivered as a trial across multiple regions. Key Duties: Clinical Intake & Assessment Conduct intake, screening, and suitability assessments Provide timely responses to participant enquiries Maintain accurate and confidential records Deliver a small clinical caseload as required Project Coordination Coordinate day-to-day program delivery across regions Monitor timelines, risks, and deliverables Prepare regular project reports and updates Support consistent processes across multiple locations Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with internal and external stakeholders Support program promotion and participant engagement Contribute to clear communication across teams Evaluation & Quality Support data collection and outcome measurement Maintain accurate documentation Identify and escalate risks or implementation issues Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives About You: You are an experienced clinician with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. You bring a participant-focused approach and are confident working across both clinical and project environments. Essential Requirements Relevant qualification and registration in one of the following: Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Registered Nurse (AHPRA), OR Social Worker (eligible for AASW membership), OR Counsellor (PACFA or ACA registration) Demonstrated experience delivering counselling in a mental health setting Ability to obtain required working with children/vulnerable people checks Desirable Experience Couples or family-based therapy or relationship programs Project coordination or program delivery experience Experience in mental health, trauma-informed, or community services Exposure to evaluation, research, or pilot program delivery How to Apply To apply, click the Apply Now button and send your up-to-date resume, for a confidential discussion call us now on 02 5119 3133.
