Harvesting Machine Operator – Undera VIC Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a business that operates a large-scale orchard producing premium apples and plums for the Australian wholesale market. The role focuses on operating machinery and supporting day-to-day orchard and harvest operations across a modern, expanding production system. Our client is now seeking an experienced and reliable Harvesting Machine Operatorto join a long-established family-run horticultural operation in the Goulburn Valley. About the role: This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating machinery, and being part of a productive farming team. Location : Undera VIC Salary : Negotiable in the range of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum Tenure : Full time and ongoing Key responsibilities include: Operate tractors and orchard machinery including harvest-assist platforms and spray equipment. Support harvesting operations for apples and plums during peak seasonal periods. Carry out general orchard tasks such as mowing, slashing, spraying support, irrigation checks, and bin movement. Perform basic machinery checks, cleaning, and routine maintenance. Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns. Safely transport fruit bins and equipment around orchard blocks. Follow all workplace health, safety, and biosecurity procedures. Work closely with supervisors and seasonal staff to meet production targets. Perform manual labour tasks associated with machinery operation and harvest activities as required. To be successfully considered for the role you: Possess a relevant Cert III or equivalent in Agriculture, Rural Operations, or related field. Demonstrated 1 or more years’ experience operating tractors or mobile plant in an agricultural or horticultural setting. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to complete routine maintenance tasks. Strong focus on safety and following instructions. Reliable, practical, and able to work both independently and in a team. Experience with modern agricultural machinery or GPS systems. Comfortable with physical work with seasonal peak demands (especially harvest periods). You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
