Job Description Undertaking top-down Cost Planning Working with Single Line Diagrams and technical information to produce First Principles Estimating Technical knowledge of Substation and transmission infrastructure & technology Lead the estimation process for construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and accurate estimates. Prepare capital cost estimates to meet industry standard estimate classification guidelines, in particular AACE. Use of in-house data to perform benchmarking analysis. Analyse and interpret project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs. Review and analyse bids, proposals, and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements. Analysis of construction project change and the provision of feedback on areas of risk and opportunities. Implement estimating processes, proceedures and tools where required. Working collaboratively and seamlessly with all other key project and programme functions such as; cost, risk and planning teams. Analyse and assess costs and estimates provided by suppliers and contractors Provide process and technical estimating support and production of feasibility studies Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to junior estimators and team members
