Job Description The Queensland Urban Development team is growing! We're seeking a technically excellent Principal Engineer to join our team based in Sunshine Coast who is interested to make their mark leading impactful projects locally within QLD and nationally! Our Queensland Urban Development team is 50 strong and responsible for some of the leading development projects in South East Queensland. This role is ideal for a Chartered Engineer with strong leadership abilities and significant technical expertise in large-scale greenfield and brownfield developments, as well as commercial, industrial, and medium-density projects. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering landmark projects, mentoring our talented team, and driving innovation in urban development. You'll be responsible for: Provide technical expertise and advice through the different stages of the project lifecycle from feasibility studies, concept and detailed design through to construction administration and certification Lead and deliver high quality proposal documentation, fee estimation, methodology development, client liaison and contract negotiation Lead project teams of engineers, providing technical advice and direction to all employee levels through technical challenges and issues Lead meetings with project stakeholders including clients, other Egis disciplines as well as external consultants Assist in reviewing technical deliverables such as technical reports, detail designs and construction quality assurance data etc. to ensure compliance to relevant standards Manage work technically and contractually to ensure that it meets technical requirements and is performed within the bounds of the organisation’s policies and procedures Undertake financial management of projects by monitoring the actual time and cost expended on the total project against the budget, informing client of any changes in scope of work or other causes of variances from project resources.
