Due to growth of the business, they are seeking qualified Motor Mechanic who can work quickly and efficiently, whilst producing good quality work. This independent, clean and modern workshop offers extensive services to their customers including logbook servicing, general servicing up to major repairs to all model light vehicles. They also offer E-Safety inspections for NSW and offer tyre fitting and wheel alignments. They are looking for mechanics who take great pride in their work and offer exceptional customer service to their clients. They want people who are adaptable and who can think on their feet. Mechanics that can think outside the box and is able and willing to get the job done right. Diagnostic abilities are highly desired. You must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and produce high quality work, efficiently. Essential requirements: You must have at least AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV OR At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications You must have at least 1 year of full time relevant work experience. Hold a valid manual driver’s license Have effective communication skills Be a strong team player Be proficient in diagnostics Be committed to workshop safety Have excellent customer service skills Be a hard and diligent worker Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment RWC licence is highly desired Be committed to customer satisfaction Have full Australian working rights. Function/Purpose Accurately identify and repair mechanical faults on all light vehicle makes and models Build relationships with customers and provide them your expert advice, including repair and servicing recommendations Assist your team members with the operation of the store on a day to day basis with a positive and enthusiastic attitude Responsibilities Conduct a complete range of motor vehicle diagnoses in accordance with industry standards and practices Carry out automotive servicing and repairs to industry standards, with a focus on tyres, brakes and suspension Use knowledge and skills to repair and replace worn and defective parts in a cost effective manner Complete vehicle inspection reports, ensuring all completed work is noted and recommendations are flagged and communicated to the customer Utilise your knowledge and skills to acquire vehicle parts and accessories for repairs as required Safely operate hoists and conduct road tests as required Effectively communicate with other workshop staff and report any unserviceable equipment Assist sales staff with customer enquires in person and on the phone as required Assist in the loading, unloading and stacking of tyres Perform final inspections, ensuring all vehicles are returned to customers in a clean and tidy state Encourage customer loyalty by building relationships with customers Always maintain and operate workshop equipment in a safely manner Assist in maintaining the store and workshop at a high standard of presentation, cleanliness and hygiene Maintain and support morale within the business by motivating and encouraging other staff members Assist and guide the work of subordinate mechanics in a professional and friendly manner Attend JAX Academy training sessions as required Wear uniforms as provided by the Company and maintain a clean and tidy appearance Adhere to policies, procedures and WHS regulations Support and assist the Store Manager and/or Franchisee with tasks as require In return for your hard work, you will be offered a very attractive hourly rate, good career outlook and be able to work in a close team environment.
