About the Role As an Aviation Screening Officer, you’ll play a vital role in protecting passengers, aircraft and airport operations. You’ll be the face of airport security, ensuring screening activities are conducted professionally while delivering a positive customer experience. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with passengers, airline staff and airport stakeholders while maintaining the highest standards of aviation security and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include: Conduct passenger and baggage screening activities Ensure compliance with aviation security regulations and procedures Provide exceptional customer service in a professional airport environment Monitor and report security incidents or irregularities Maintain accurate records and documentation Contribute to a safe, secure and welcoming airport experience About You We’re looking for someone who: Enjoys working with people and providing excellent customer service Maintains a professional and positive attitude Can remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Works well independently and as part of a team Has strong communication and interpersonal skills Takes pride in following procedures and maintaining high standards Qualifications & Requirements Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (preferred) or willingness to obtain Full training may be provided to suitable applicants Ability to obtain Dangerous Goods Awareness Training and First Aid certification Hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment Willingness to participate in random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulations Australian working rights Why Join AMS?
