Job Description We are seeking a "hands-on" Application Support Team Leader to head a dedicated team of Level 2 & 3 Support Analysts. In this role, you will ensure high-quality service delivery across Nine’s corporate and commercial application landscape while championing a culture of continuous improvement, trust, and exceptional customer service. Day to day you will: Provide strong technical and operational leadership to a team of Level 2 & 3 Support Analysts, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of development, collaboration, and trust. Oversee day-to-day operations of the application landscape, ensuring the team professionally tracks, responds to, and resolves escalated Level 2/3 incidents and requests in line with monthly SLA targets. Coordinate and manage the change delivery process for both in-house and third-party vendor applications, ensuring standard IT Change Management procedures and thorough documentation are maintained. Manage and perform necessary updates to application database environments, specifically focusing on SQL Server instances and integration processes. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business units, the Group IT Service Desk, and third-party vendors to ensure compliance and seamless integration. Champion a "security-first" approach, ensuring all operations align strictly with standard corporate security policies, guidelines, and compliance procedures. Enhance team productivity by maintaining a robust knowledge base, leading proactive training to reduce repeatable incidents, and aligning with ITIL methodologies. Qualifications What you’ll bring: Extensive experience leading and developing a technical team of application support analysts within a corporate environment, utilising a supportive and "hands-on" management approach. Deep background in technical application support with a strong understanding of issue resolution, request workflows, and ITIL methodologies. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Server operating systems and extensive practical experience administering databases and SQL Server Integration processes. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex technical concepts and build relationships at all levels of the organisation. An absolute focus on customer service, demonstrating empathy and high accountability when handling stakeholder issues. Demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive technical documentation, system interface diagrams, and release procedures. A flexible approach to working hours to accommodate urgent requirements, alongside an awareness of emerging technologies, AI platforms, or industry best practices.
