LET’S EXPLORE THE ROLE This Procurement Specialist role sits at the heart of a major Sydney transit programme, embedded within the project delivery team and supporting the procurement of technology, infrastructure, and specialist services. You’ll partner closely with engineering and delivery teams during design and execution phases, translating requirements into robust procurement strategies and leading market engagement activities. From RF(x) processes through to contract award and supplier management, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring commercial outcomes, programme alignment, and supply chain performance are achieved across a complex, fast‑moving project environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead end‑to‑end RF(x) processes including tender preparation, evaluation, and contract award Translate technical project requirements into clear procurement specifications Assess supplier capability and manage pre‑qualification processes Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contract conditions with vendors and subcontractors Administer subcontract agreements, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks and milestones Manage variations, claims, and contract changes while protecting commercial outcomes Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and contract obligations Provide market intelligence, benchmarking insights, and cost optimisation opportunities Support category planning, procurement strategy, and project bids Collaborate with project, engineering, finance, and logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU You bring strong procurement experience within project‑driven environments, ideally across infrastructure, telecommunications, utilities, or technology systems. You’re confident working alongside technical stakeholders and comfortable navigating complex procurement scenarios where commercial, technical, and programme factors intersect.
