The Opportunity This is a field‑based role servicing industrial and commercial customers across Melbourne and surrounds. Once fully trained, you’ll manage your own jobs, your own workload, and your earning potential. What You’ll Be Doing: Servicing, maintaining and repairing: Industrial and commercial doors Roller shutters Dock levellers and dock equipment Automatic doors and gates Completing preventative maintenance and safety inspections Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults Speaking directly with customers on‑site Working independently in a mobile, well‑supported role Participating in a paid on‑call roster (higher rates apply) Who We’re Looking For Industrial door experience is great — but it’s not essential. We are actively looking for people from adjacent mechanical and trade backgrounds who want to upskill, increase their earnings, and move into a specialised, in‑demand trade. Ideal backgrounds include: Mechanical fitters & technicians Forklift or materials‑handling technicians Electricians or electrical trade assistants Fabricators and welders Plant, equipment or machinery maintenance HVAC, facilities maintenance or construction trades Automotive or heavy vehicle mechanics What Matters Most: Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on problem‑solving skills Confidence fault‑finding and repairing mechanical systems Ability to work independently once trained A safety‑focused mindset Reliable work ethic and pride in your trade Current Australian driver’s licence Comfort working at heights Tickets such as forklift or EWP are advantageous but not essential — we can help you get them.
