Join us and take your career to the next level As a Field Service Technician , you will perform corrective maintenance, general repairs, and preventative maintenance on Diesel Powered and EV Mobile Equipment across various locations in the field and in the workshop. Working independently, you will provide exceptional customer service, ensure high-quality workmanship, and safely complete your tasks within acceptable repair time frames. What are your key responsibilities: Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out mechanical and electrical fault finding, general repair work, preventative maintenance (PM) servicing, and emergency corrective repairs on Diesel Powered and EV Mobile Equipment. Service Preparation & Execution: Prepare thoroughly for service jobs by organizing parts and service history, ensure efficient execution, and complete warranty repairs in accordance with factory requirements. Customer Interaction: Actively build strong customer relationships, review completed work with clients, identify additional service opportunities, and leave the workspace clean and tidy. Shift & On-Call Operations: Be available for work during and outside of normal business hours, including weekends, and participate in an On-Call roster to support after-hours service operations. Safety & Documentation: Actively ensure a standard of zero accidents by completing Take 5's and vehicle inspections, maintaining 5S standards, and accurately completing daily service reports (WDON). What you bring to the role: Qualifications: You hold an Australian Mechanical trade qualification, such as Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Mobile Plant Technology, or an Automotive/Battery EV qualification (HVAC and Refrigerant handling licenses are highly favorable). Extensive Experience: Substantial post-apprenticeship experience specializing in fault finding, repairs, and PM servicing on heavy mobile plant, such as earth moving equipment, heavy duty forklifts, marine, or mining equipment. Technical Expertise: You possess strong knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, drivetrains, diesel engines, and Electric Vehicle (EV) systems and charging requirements, alongside the ability to read electrical schematics. Licenses: You hold a valid driver's license (manual preferred, LR to MR trucks beneficial), with High Risk Work, Forklift, and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licenses highly preferred.
