About the Role We are currently looking for a skilled Supply and Distribution Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our supply chain operations. This leadership position plays a key role in developing and implementing procurement, inventory, and distribution strategies that align with company objectives, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, strategic insight, and a proactive approach to optimising logistics and purchasing functions. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and enhance purchasing, warehousing, and distribution processes in line with organisational objectives. Manage inventory forecasting, stock planning, and inventory control to maintain efficient stock levels and reduce excess costs. Coordinate supplier sourcing activities, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure reliability, quality, and value. Supervise warehouse operations and inventory management systems, including WMS, RFID, and forecasting technologies, to maintain accurate stock visibility and control. Monitor logistics operations, replenishment systems, and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and minimise delays. Work collaboratively with production, operations, and finance teams to ensure supply chain activities support business requirements. Maintain accurate and compliant records relating to purchasing, storage, and distribution activities in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards. Ensure all procurement and logistics activities meet legal, environmental, and sustainability obligations. Lead and support purchasing and logistics staff through mentoring, performance management, and KPI development. Assess potential supply chain risks and implement contingency measures to minimise operational disruptions. Ensure delivery outcomes consistently meet customer expectations for quality, accuracy, and timeliness. Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. At least 1 year of relevant work experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain management roles. Strong analytical, organisational, and strategic planning capabilities. Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiations and contract administration. Solid understanding of inventory systems, logistics technologies, and automated supply chain processes. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Good knowledge of compliance standards, auditing processes, and risk management within supply chain operations.
