About the Role As our PR & Communications Manager , you will take ownership of Kapitol’s communications function, bringing PR, external communications and internal communications capability fully in-house, with responsibility for spearheading all internal communications across the business. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Brand & Communications, you will act as the central point of accountability for all communications activity, shaping Kapitol’s corporate narrative, driving proactive media engagement, and elevating leadership visibility. This is a high-impact, standalone role working closely with Marketing, People & Culture, Business Development and project teams to ensure consistent, high-quality communication that supports business growth, reputation and culture. A key focus of this role is to establish and lead a structured internal communications approach that supports clarity, engagement and alignment across a growing organisation. Key responsibilities; Develop and execute a proactive PR and communications strategy aligned to Kapitol’s growth ambitions Identify, shape and pitch stories across tier-one, trade and industry media, building strong media relationships Manage media enquiries, press materials and messaging frameworks to protect and enhance Kapitol’s reputation Define and evolve Kapitol’s corporate narrative, ensuring consistent and high-quality messaging across all external channels Partner with leadership on key announcements, project milestones and executive profiling (LinkedIn, media, speaking opportunities) Oversee external communications including website content, LinkedIn and project storytelling Lead and deliver a structured internal communications strategy, owning all internal messaging, cadence and engagement across the business including company updates, leadership messaging and town halls Improve communication clarity, consistency and engagement across the business Lead issues and crisis communications planning, providing guidance to leadership as required Support communications for key business moments including project milestones, events and partnerships Act as the central point of accountability for all communications activity, ensuring alignment across teams About you Proven experience in PR, communications or corporate affairs (approximately 8 years), ideally across both agency and in-house environments Strong experience leading internal communications in a growing or complex organisation Exposure to property, construction, infrastructure or a related project-based industry Strong media relationships across business, property and industry press Proficiency in media monitoring and engagement tools (e.g. Meltwater, Medianet, iSentia, Streem) Exceptional writing and storytelling capability, with strong editorial judgement Experience supporting senior leaders with communications, messaging and thought leadership Confident working in a high-growth, agile environment Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and partner across all levels of the business Strategic mindset with the ability to operate hands-on and deliver outcomes Calm under pressure, particularly in media or reputational risk scenarios High attention to detail with a strong focus on brand consistency and quality Why Kapitol At Kapitol, we are redefining construction through innovation, technology, and an uncompromising commitment to excellence.
