Your new role You will join a high performing commercial team working across a broad mix of corporate and commercial matters. Key responsibilities include: - Managing a range of commercial matters with increasing independence - Advising clients on transactions, structuring and general commercial issues - Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements - Supporting senior lawyers on complex matters, including mergers and acquisitions - Building and maintaining strong client relationships - Contributing to business development and firm growth - Mentoring and supporting junior team members What you'll need to succeed You will ideally bring: - 3 years' PQE in commercial law within an Australian private practice - Experience across areas such as business or share sales, corporate structuring and governance - Exposure to commercial contracts, shareholder arrangements and transactions - A commercially focused, practical approach to advice - Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients - The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment What you'll get in return This is a well established Canberra firm with a strong reputation for delivering practical, strategic advice to a diverse client base.
