About The Role We are seeking a commercially focused professional to provide high-quality financial analysis and support across the organisation. You will partner with business units to develop business cases, financial models, and performance reports, delivering insights that support informed decision-making and improve operational and project outcomes. In this role, you will also contribute to commercial frameworks and pricing models, support tender and funding processes, and help drive innovative, community-focused service delivery while maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge and best practices. About You Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or economics 3 years’ experience in a similar role (local government, utilities, infrastructure, or resources preferred) Strong financial modelling skills and understanding of accounting principles Ability to develop business insights and understand complex operations Able to work independently and collaboratively, with strong time management and adaptability Current Class C driver’s licence Townsville City Council is the largest local government authority in Northern Australia.
