About the Business Community and Aboriginal Partnerships Our Community and Aboriginal Partnerships Division helps to build community safety and wellbeing by providing support and services to children, young people and families, including those involved with the youth justice system, remote Aboriginal communities, and people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The division also supports DHS's Closing the Gap commitments. Role Highlights Diverse and inclusive culture Work collaboratively and engage with stakeholders Make a difference for South Australians Role Details The Principal Policy and Programs Officer is a role within Community and Aboriginal Partnerships and is accountable to the Manager Strategy, Policy and Reporting, for: providing high level strategic support to HSP in the areas of strategy, policy, research, data analysis, outcome frameworks, procedures, programs and funding priorities to ensure an effective service response to people experiencing, and at risk of, homelessness providing leadership, supervision, guidance and deployment of staff to deliver effective services and support to the Homelessness sector establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across the Commonwealth, state and local government and non-government organisations to drive best practice and support HSP reform agendas advising on matters as part of parliamentary and administrative processes and effectively navigating policy, program and partnership challenges working in partnership with non-government partners to enhance service responses that are underpinned by sound research, data collection and strategic analysis of the broad social policy implications.
