WE ARE HIRING CHEF ANZSCO 351311 | Full-time, Permanent | 38 hours/week 8/953 Albany Highway, East Victoria Park WA 6101 About Us Café Eighty 2 (Eighty2 Pty Ltd, ABN 15 660 603 449) is a vibrant Korean-inspired café in East Victoria Park, Perth, known for our seasonal brunch menu, signature Korean fusion plates and specialty coffee. We are now appointing an experienced Chef to join our kitchen on a full-time, permanent basis with a guaranteed annual base salary of AUD $76,515 (plus 11.5% superannuation), commensurate with experience. Key Duties • Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order food supplies. • Prepare, season and cook a wide range of brunch, lunch and Korean fusion dishes. • Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation. • Discuss food preparation requirements with the Café Manager and Head Chef. • Apply and enforce hygiene regulations under the WA Food Act and HACCP principles. • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff and demonstrate cooking techniques. • Manage stock rotation, freezing and preservation of surplus food to minimise waste. Skills & Experience Required • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (AQF Level 4) or equivalent overseas qualification, OR at least three (3) years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef. • Proven experience preparing à la carte breakfast, brunch and lunch menus in a fast-paced café or restaurant. • Sound knowledge of Australian food safety standards, allergen management and HACCP. • Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement). • Right to work in Australia on a full-time basis.
