We are looking for a kind, adaptable and motivated Canine Trainer to join our growing team. This role can be casual, part-time or full-time depending on your experience, skills and the right fit for our business. At Canine Culture Australia no two days are ever the same. We are structured and organised, but when working with dogs, things can change quickly — so flexibility, calmness and a positive attitude are essential. About the Role You will work with dogs of all ages, breeds and personalities within a structured environment focused on enrichment, education, wellbeing and safe canine handling. The role may include: Handling and supervising groups of dogs Basic training and behavioural work Walking, enrichment and structured activities Cleaning and maintaining high hygiene standards Supporting daily operations and client interactions Working both independently and as part of a team About You We are looking for someone who: Is kind, patient and calm in nature Genuinely loves working with dogs Understands this is physically and mentally demanding work Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions Is fit, healthy, energetic and adaptable Demonstrates moderate fitness levels to meet the physical demands of dog handling and supervision Can think on their feet and remain calm under pressure Has great communication and teamwork skills Is reliable, professional and willing to learn Is not afraid of hard work Can show us they know how to work hard and contribute to a team Understands canine body language and safe handling practices Is happy to get dirty and be hands-on every day Experience & Qualifications Qualifications and experience are great — attitude is the bomb. We can teach skills, systems and structure, but we need people who bring energy, commitment, resilience and a genuine willingness to work hard. If you have the right mindset, care deeply about dogs and want to learn, we want to hear from you. Experience in dog training, animal care, daycare, boarding or handling is highly regarded, however attitude, work ethic and the right personality are just as important to us. Minimum one year of professional dog handling experience is required for this position. All candidates must hold valid Australian work rights to be considered for this role.
