Business Enabling Services Group / Ministerial and Parliamentary Services (BES) Division / COMCAR and Programs (BES/MaPS) Branch APS 4 ($82,613 - $94,289) | Casual Canberra, ACT ABOUT THE BRANCH COMCAR, the Commonwealth Government’s car-with-driver service, provides high quality, secure and confidential transport to the Governor-General, current and former Prime Ministers, Senators and Members of Parliament, Federal Judiciary, Heads of Commonwealth Agencies, International guests of Government, visiting dignitaries and major events nationwide. COMCAR has a national presence, with drivers located in each state and territory across Australia. Reservations for services can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY COMCAR is looking to fill several vacancies in the National Operations Centre, which is primarily responsible for the planning and delivery of ground transport services to a high-profile client base. We are looking to complement our existing team with dynamic, courteous and team-oriented individuals who display a commitment to the delivery of outstanding levels of service. We are also seeking individuals who can work in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities and have the ability to make sound decisions. The roles may be filled on a casual basis and includes shift work comprising of 7.5-hour shifts split over early mornings, late evenings and overnight shifts across seven days a week, including public holidays. Remuneration is in line with the Department of Finance Enterprise Agreement 2024-2027. Key responsibilities of the role include: Assisting COMCAR clients and their staff to create, amend and cancel COMCAR bookings. Liaising with COMCAR State Managers, COMCAR drivers and outsourced providers to ensure high quality service is delivered to COMCAR clients. Contributing positively to the COMCAR National Operations Centre and fostering a team-based culture. Assisting team members in performing their duties to ensure a seamless client experience; and Other duties as required. Full training on IT systems will be provided upon commencement.
