Newly created role for a Senior Legal Counsel with financial services and commercial experience in a fast-growing, ASX-listed organisation. 8 years’ PQE Business facing, commercial in-house role Successful ASX-listed business About the client Our client is a successful ASX-listed organisation which offers a comprehensive suite of products to business and consumer customers across multiple industry sectors, including the corporate, government, not-for-profit, education and healthcare sectors. About the role Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will work closely with the business to provide legal advice on a diverse range of commercial and regulatory matters. Your key responsibilities will include: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, including tenders, customer agreements, technology contracts and procurement contracts. Advising on product development and customer terms. Assisting with M&A transactions. Assisting with the management of disputes. Advising on regulatory matters, including compliance, consumer law and legal risk management, particularly regarding new products and/or emerging regulatory risks. The position offers exposure to high quality legal work in a vibrant and growing environment. About you You will be a lawyer with 8-10 years’ PQE gained in private practice or in-house. You will have experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and providing advice on regulatory matters. You will be a confident self-starter with a desire to work in a varied in-house environment.
