Location: Belmont, WA Position: Full-time (Multiple positions available) Salary range: $ 70,000 to $ 80,000 per annum Superannuation About the Role: As the Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen. You will play a key role in shaping the menu and upholding our high standards, with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, the following: · Prepare and present main courses, desserts, and signature seafood dishes with consistency, quality, and attention to established recipes and standards. · Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and refine new menu items and seasonal specials. · Assist in the planning and execution of food for special events and catering, ensuring dishes are delivered to the highest standard. · Create authentic sauces and curries, maintaining a well-organized kitchen station while showcasing advanced cooking techniques. · Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including stock management and quality control of ingredients and dishes. · Supervise, guide, and mentor junior kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow, consistency, and efficiency. · Adapt dishes to meet a variety of dietary requirements, offering creative and thoughtful alternatives. · Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards across all kitchen activities. What We’re Looking For: · Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualifications. · At least 1-2 year of professional experience in a busy kitchen environment. · Creativity and passion for developing new dishes and menu items, with a special focus on seafood. · Strong knowledge and passion for both food preparation and customer service, with a keen focus on enhancing the dining experience. · up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends, ingredients, and techniques to keep the menu innovative and appealing · Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen management procedures. · Excellent time management, ability to work under pressure, particularly in managing high-volume services.
