Location: Belmont, WA Position: Full-time (Multiple positions available) Salary range: $ 70,000 to $ 80,000 per annum Superannuation About the Role As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, cooking and presenting a wide range of seafood and other dishes to a high standard while supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: · Examining food to ensure quality, regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment, and monitoring portion size and food presentation. · Preparing, cooking, and seasoning food items according to recipes and standards. · Chopping, marinating, and assisting with menu preparation as directed by chefs. · Portioning and plating food, adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes. · Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities and keeping records of food supplies, stock, and equipment. · Planning and preparing dishes for special dietary requirements where necessary. · Maintaining strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards across all kitchen activities. · Coordinating with front-of-house staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery by maintaining clear communication and conveying orders to the chefs. · Supporting the training and guidance of junior kitchen staff and apprentices when required. What We’re Looking For · Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent. · Passion for developing new dishes with a special focus on seafood. · At least 1-2 years of professional experience in a busy kitchen environment. · Strong technical cooking skills with attention to detail and presentation, supported by up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends. · Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen procedures. · Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively during busy service periods. · A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
