Advance your career with one of Melbourne's leaders in passenger transport in the role of Operations Supervisor. Reporting to the Depot Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and day to day direction and leadership of Drivers and other staff relevant to the depot. Key Responsibilities: Ensure drivers depart on time at the commencement of all shifts and changeovers. Minimise any service disruptions by following policies with regards to vehicle breakdowns, absenteeism, on road / in yard accidents or road closures as indicated by Vic Roads. This involves ensuring that the Operations Centre is staffed at all times. Deliver clear, timely support and effective communication to drivers via consat, phone communications and face to face interaction.Manage bus allocations daily, ensuring effective service coverage and adapting quickly to operational challenges. Completing daily data entry into internal transport systems, including incidents, miss trips and vehicle defects Track and manage real-time service performance using Smartrak, ensuring buses run on time and issues are addressed promptly. Coordinate shift coverage and allocations, making necessary alterations to meet operations needs and HVNL standards. Use internal platforms and systems such as Consat, Zello, TIMS, and BusMinder to monitor operations, communicate with drivers, and manage daily operations. What are we looking for? Commercial experience gained within the Hospitality, Transport, Defence or Manufacturing sectors would be highly desirable. Tertiary qualification in related field (desirable). Experience in coordinating, managing and/or scheduling operations across teams and/or mobile workforces would be highly advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both face to face and remotely. Superior customer service experience. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Ability to manage workloads in a fast paced and demanding work environment.
