Flow Tech Australia Pty Ltd operates a marine engineering business with Business Unit in Sydney, Perth, Darwin and Cairns, servicing the Defence, Commercial sectors of the marine industry. Due to significant growth in our Perth branch, we are seeking a Mechanical Fitter to support upcoming and ongoing works. This role is based in Henderson, WA. Occasional interstate travel may be required. Employment type: Full-time Requirements Strong commitment to safe work practices and maintaining a clean, organised work environment · recognised mechanical trade certificate · Demonstrated mechanical fitting capability and sound workshop practices · High attention to detail · Ship repair and refit experience (highly regarded) · Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions · Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills · Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment with a positive, can-do attitude · Current police check (issued within the last 28 days) with a clean record. · Current driver’s licence · Current Hep A & B Vaccination . Australian Citizen . Confined Space, Working at Heights, Rigger Certificates Main duties and responsibilities Provide competent mechanical fitting, confined space and rigging support across marine engineering works · Maintain clear daily communication with your reporting line (manager/supervisor) · Work safely and efficiently, either independently/unsupervised or as part of a team · Maintain a clean and safe workspace and comply with workplace health and safety policies and procedures · Apply strong troubleshooting, analytical and mechanical skills, with excellent attention to detail and time management
