Position: Chef Position Type : Full-Time, Permanent Salary: $76,515.00 plus superannuation per annum Location: Everton Park QLD 4053 Our client 5 Boroughs Everton Park is seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Chef to join their team. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef and management team in the day-to-day operations of a busy kitchen while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service. Key Duties and Responsibilities: ·Planning menus and estimating food and labor costs. ·Ordering, monitoring, and managing food supplies and kitchen inventory. ·Preparing and cooking food in accordance with recipes and business standards. ·Monitoring the quality of raw and cooked food products. ·Supervising and coordinating kitchen staff during food preparation and service. ·Assisting with staff rostering and production schedules to ensure efficient kitchen operations. ·Assisting in menu development and pricing of menu items. ·Demonstrating cooking techniques and providing guidance to junior kitchen staff. ·Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations. ·Inspecting kitchen equipment, work areas, and food storage areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained. ·Assisting with budgeting, stock control, and minimizing food wastage. ·Maintaining high standards of food presentation and customer satisfaction. ·Training and supporting junior kitchen staff as required. ·Managing kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Manager. ·Keeping up to date with current hospitality industry trends and customer preferences. Requirements: ·Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Hospitality Management or Commercial Cookery; or ·Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery with relevant work experience. ·Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef. ·Knowledge of American-style cuisine and current food trends will be highly regarded. ·Sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards.
