Rosewood Care Group is seeking motivated and experienced Allied Health Assistants seeking casual employment. You will support our lifestyle and therapy team in delivering meaningful programs that enhance the social, cultural, spiritual, and physical wellbeing of our residents. About the Role Working under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, and Lifestyle Coordinator, you will assist in the delivery of therapy and lifestyle activities aligned with residents' care plans, preferences, and life histories. Key Responsibilities Support team coverage by filling in for Lifestyle and Allied Health staff when they are on annual or sick leave Implement group or individual interventions with residents, as directed by the Lifestyle Coordinator and/or physiotherapist/occupational therapist. Foster relationships with residents that enhance wellbeing through social and emotional connection and provision of meaningful activities. Promote resident independence, choice and decision-making while working in their home. Communicate effectively with residents and multidisciplinary team members. Observe, document, and maintain accurate records of resident participation. Provide feedback to the Lifestyle Coordinator and allied health team regarding any resident wellbeing concerns. Maintain a safe work environment. Criteria Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or Lifestyle qualifications Minimum 1 year experience working as an allied health assistant/lifestyle assistant in residential aged care. Minimum 2 days per week availability (at least one must be a weekday) Current National Police Clearance. Demonstrated ability to accurately follow care plans and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Proven ability to establish respectful, responsive relationships with older people who have diverse needs. Demonstrated ability to document allied health assistant interventions according to workplace procedures. Commitment to continuous improvement in the workplace.
