Description Power the future with Pacific Energy. As a Senior Compliance Officer, you’ll shape and safeguard compliance across Pacific Energy’s growing power generation portfolio. From electrical and gas regulations to dangerous goods, fuel storage and next‑generation technologies like BESS, wind and solar, you’ll ensure our operations meet all regulatory obligations. You’ll work closely with leaders and operational teams to identify risks early, strengthen compliance systems and maintain high standards across multiple jurisdictions. Key responsibilities: Lead statutory and regulatory compliance across Pacific Energy’s generation portfolio, including thermal, renewable, fuel, LNG/CNG and environmental obligations, and act as the primary liaison for regulatory inspections, audits and assurance activities. Maintain and enhance compliance frameworks, governance processes, ISO‑aligned management systems, registers, assurance programs and corrective action mechanisms. Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, assess compliance risks, conduct investigations and gap analyses, and provide clear insights and reporting to senior leadership. Partner with Operations, Engineering and Projects to embed compliance into daily operations, project delivery and asset lifecycle decisions, ensuring timely statutory reporting and practical, risk‑based controls. Support delivery of compliance training, capability development and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen organisational compliance culture. Strong ability to interpret multi‑jurisdictional legislation, assess risk, and manage compliance frameworks including ISO systems. Proven experience conducting audits, investigations, and CAPA, and maintaining compliance registers or online compliance systems. Skilled in stakeholder engagement, including government agencies, certifying bodies, and customers, with excellent written and verbal communication.
