We are Hiring We are seeking a full time, Asset Maintenance Officer to join our Eight Mile Plains office. The Role The Asset Maintenance Officer will play a pivotal role in assessing our properties, ensuring that they are safe, well maintained, and compliant with all relevant regulations and requirements. Concentrating on void management, responsive and planned maintenance, you will be responsible for a portfolio of properties. Working within set timeframes and budgets will be an important aspect of this role and you will need to ensure that all works completed comply with quality assurance standards. You will be liaising regularly with internal and external stakeholders, building and sustaining positive relationships with contractors, and responding to their needs in a timely manner. From time to time you will liaise with vulnerable people who may be marginalised and/or present with difficult behaviour. About You To be successful for this role, you will have a genuine passion for wanting to support vulnerable people in our community. Essential Criteria: An understanding and appreciation of the importance of responsive and efficient asset management for the community. Experience or knowledge of property management. Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a caring and empathetic nature. Confidence in liaising with various stakeholders including vulnerable people. Demonstrated experience operating Microsoft 365 applications including Excel at an intermediate level. Ability to compose professional correspondence via email to internal and external stakeholders. Sound knowledge and application of WHS practices. Green/White WHS Construction Induction Card (or ability to obtain). A current driver’s licence. Desirable: Previous experience working in the social/community housing industry. Certificate IV or above in a relevant trade, ideally Building and/or Carpentry Please note that a satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
