MAYDAY is partnering with a leading funeral services provider to recruit a Casual Funeral Director Assistant based in Nerang. This is a meaningful, hands-on support role within a professional and compassionate team, assisting Funeral Directors with day-to-day operations and ensuring families receive seamless, respectful care during difficult times. We are seeking a candidate who is open to working a flexible casual roster, including on-call night shifts and some daytime hours, within a 24/7 operational environment. Key responsibilities: Support Funeral Directors with service preparation and coordination Assist with transfers, documentation, and general operational duties Maintain a calm, respectful, and professional presence at all times Ensure accuracy and care in a sensitive, fast-paced environment About you: Open to working on-call night shifts and some day shifts as required Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach Ability to remain calm and focused in emotional and time-sensitive situations Reliable team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn Experience in funeral services, healthcare, aged care, or logistics will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
