About the role As the Practice Manager at Amtan Medical Centre, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of this busy medical practice. What you'll be doing Oversee the administrative and operational functions of the medical practice Manage and lead the practice's support staff Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve practice efficiency Manage patient bookings, records, and other administrative tasks Take an active lead in processing Medicare, DVA, Workcover and private billing Accountable for the practice's financial and operational KPI's Identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the practice What we're looking for Minimum 3 years' experience as a practice manager in a busy GP mixed billing practice Strong understanding of medical practice operations, healthcare regulations, and industry best practices Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Proficient in using best practice management software, Hot Doc and other relevant technologies Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make decisions under pressure Strong analytical and financial management skills Proven track record of improving practice efficiency and patient satisfaction Strong organizational and time management abilities to multitask and prioritize effectively Compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with patients Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow medical regulations and protocols What we offer Amtan Medical is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment for all our employees. Essential Criteria: At least 3 years’ experience as a Practice Manager (Required). Experience with Best Practice software (Required). Medicare, Workcover and private billings (Required). Experience with Cubiko & Cliniko (Highly desirable). Work authorisation for Australia (Required). Advanced administrative skills (including faxing, scanning, filing, database management) and outstanding customer service and phone etiquette. Clear and concise interpersonal/social communication skills and writing ability. A customer/patient-focused, friendly, and welcoming manner – treating the patients of the practice with the highest degree of respect. Ability to work independently or as part of a team environment.
