The Role: We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious Dogmen to join the construction team delivering a major refrigerated distribution centre in Western Sydney. This role is critical to coordinating safe lifting operations across the site, supporting crane activities involving structural steel, precast concrete, refrigeration systems, and heavy plant equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with crane operators, riggers, site supervisors, and trades to ensure all lifting activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Australian standards and site procedures Dogman: Key Responsibilities: Attach and secure loads to cranes using appropriate lifting gear Direct crane operators using standard hand and radio signals Assess load weights, balance, and lifting points prior to lifts Inspect slings, chains, shackles, and lifting equipment before use Guide and position loads safely during lifting and placement operations Assist with installation of structural steel, precast panels, mechanical plant, and refrigeration equipment Maintain exclusion zones and ensure lifting activities comply with site safety requirements Follow SWMS, lift studies, and site procedures at all times Participate in toolbox talks, pre-starts, and safety meetings Working closely with mechanical fitters during installation works Communicating with crane operators to coordinate safe lifts Ensuring all lifting activities are carried out safely and in line with site procedures General site assistance where required Maintain a clean and organised work area Experience required: To be successful in obtaining these roles you will have: Valid High Risk Work Licence – Dogging (DG) White Card (Construction Induction) Working at Heights ticket Rigging licence advantageous EWP or Telehandler tickets advantageous Current driver’s licence and reliable transport Experience working on commercial, industrial, or logistics construction projects Strong understanding of crane operations and lifting procedures Ability to communicate clearly with crane operators and site personnel Knowledge of load estimation and safe lifting practices Experience with structural steel and precast installation preferred Strong commitment to workplace health and safety Ability to work effectively in a team environment These roles are fantastic opportunities to work for an industry leader!
