You will have a genuine interest in horticulture, landscaping and outdoor maintenance, and any previous exposure to gardening or a relevant pre-vocational background such as Certificate II in Horticulture will be highly regarded. This position is full-time and based at the University of Queensland St Lucia campus , supporting the presentation and maintenance of landscaped areas and outdoor spaces across site. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to build practical horticultural skills while helping maintain and enhance a large and visually impressive campus environment. You will be mentored by experienced staff while completing a blend of on-the-job training and formal study, building practical skills in garden and grounds maintenance, planting, pruning, irrigation and safe use of horticultural equipment. The role involves onsite work and local travel to and from work areas, with exposure to hazards such weather conditions, dust, noise and vegetation.
